this is pretty much what I'm going to have. May do something else with jar on top.

aaaaaaaaand... scratched the last idea and came up with this:

got rid of the girl and painted over a new mock up. closer to what I want :)

(unappealing) outlined drawing keeping in mind silhouette and line movement

revised photo mock up

and then... I changed my mind :)

full composition of what I have o far

detail of drawing with thicker outline and trying out darker value on cloth

rough drawing of 2nd character

detail of drawing with thicker outline

rough drawing of first character

photo comp enhanced and tinted

photo comp and value study

loose color study

loose digital sketch

I wish not acquiesce in on it. I over warm-hearted post. Expressly the title-deed attracted me to review the sound story.

My friend and I were recently talking about the prevalence of technology in our day to day lives. Reading this post makes me think back to that discussion we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Ethical concerns aside... I just hope that as technology further develops, the possibility of downloading our brains onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's one of the things I really wish I could experience in my lifetime.

Is that real paper I see??? Man, you're old school. Interested to see what kind of epic this will turn into. I suggest turning the flowing water into molten lava just for the heck of it. It could use some lightning bolts or explosions too.

Bruno, your art is as fascinating as the sketches of incomplete females on your blog. They are ultra feminine vixens with large eyes and delicate faces. I think that it’s wonderful that you are sharing your portfolio of twelve fantasy drawings with the public. I am sure that your illustrations will be smashing. I think that your eye for detail is already finely honed. As you work on this art and the drawings become more complete they will be wonderful illustrations . Your doodles and sketches seem better than most peoples’ completed art work. You may feel that you need more practice. I guess as artists we all spend a lot of time practicing our art and sketch style. I wish you lots of luck in completing your project. I think you will be very happy with the end project. Keep drawing and your work will shine. I draw as much as I can also to perfect my style.

Crazy Broo. Very cool to see the development, your thoughts shifting. But 12 illustrations like this could take...a while :)

I really liked where you were going with the Mucha like mono-chromatic drawing. But I also really like where you wound up with the girl reading so maybe it all paid off. I really like the lines in her head and hair. Makes those work for you. Is she human-sized? The version where she's sitting on books reminds me of a fairy or tinkerbell... not crazy about that.
